Cornwall-grown · Raw & real · Community first
Chaos to Control turns lived experience of addiction, ADHD and mental ill health into honest conversations, visible action and a clearer route towards support.

Carrying what people cannot always see.
The story behind the name
Founder Christopher Piper spent years hiding addiction, anxiety and the impact of undiagnosed neurodivergence in plain sight.
After 17 years of substance misuse, countless consequences and a life that had become impossible to manage, Chris stopped drinking on 31 December 2025. Recovery did not make life neat. It made the truth impossible to ignore.
Chaos to Control grew from that truth: people often need a first conversation before they are ready for a service. Someone who listens, understands the weight, and helps make the next step feel possible.

What we're building
A developing Cornwall community initiative working towards CIC incorporation, shaped around lived experience and strong local partnerships.
A human starting point for people who do not know where to turn, without judgement, labels or a complicated front door.
Helping people find established local and national support that fits their situation. We complement services; we do not copy them.
Accessible walks, honest events and visible challenges that make it easier to connect, move and talk.
Practical resources shaped by real recovery, addiction, anxiety, ADHD and the messy reality behind rebuilding a life.
The Invisible 365 challenge
Chris is walking 365 miles by 1 January, carrying a transparent backpack filled with bricks. Each brick represents the anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief and pressure that people carry without anybody else noticing.
The walk raises awareness, starts conversations and supports established mental-health organisations while helping Chaos to Control build a responsible foundation for future community work.
