Need a train ramp or help at the station?

You can ask Passenger Assist for ramps, help boarding, changing trains or finding your way. It also supports people with non-visible disabilities.

Choose your trains, including changes and your return journey.
Request assistance through National Rail Passenger Assist, the Passenger Assistance app, or call 0800 022 3720 and choose option 1.
Explain the help you need at each station. For a chair, give its dimensions and combined weight with the passenger; ask about ramps, wheelchair space, lifts and the station meeting point.
Keep your booking confirmation and follow the operator’s arrival instructions. An assistance request is separate from your train ticket.

Book as early as you can. National Rail accepts requests up to two hours before departure. If you have not booked, ask staff for help; availability and the journey may need checking.

Our five-minute travel buffer does not replace the station’s assistance meeting time. For Northern Ireland rail journeys, check assistance directly with Translink.
